Bum bum bum, bum bum bum… Bum bum bum, bum bum bum… Bum bum bum, bum bum bum…MASTER NINJA THEME SONG!
Oh hi! I didn’t think anyone else would show up here. Well, bad news. This isn’t a real movie either…just some Planet of the Apes rip-off crappy TV series episodes they slapped together and called a movie.
You out of here? Ok, take care then…
San Francisco International Airport…where the big B actors roar…laaaaa...la...la...la...
Wow. His Excellency - despite being so "peaceful" - is very quick to threaten a child and backhand a woman.
Seriously underrated episode, good right from the start. The Sandy Frank song, Johnny's "I don't care," line, "Don't dub with your mouth full." It always cracks me up before the first commercial break.

Funny how no one even considered recovering the kid's bodies following the earthquake. I guess Johnny's parents didn't care.

It's a Goooood thing I wasn't a writer on this episode... otherwise u'd hear "I DON'T CARE!" every 5mins or so! God that's the best line of this movie & the Riffs! xOD
Joel needs to not dance anymore. I think he would live longer.

Why is Johnny wearing sexy little Daisy Dukes?

The boys just couldn't resist monkeys throwing poop riffs. Just got funnier and funnier. Tomorrow I will have to say '21 turd salute' to someone, apropos of nothing.
The boys just couldn't get past monkeys throwing poop at people! Must have been at least 12-13 references to it. Got funnier evey time. The 21 turd salute...
1:17:00-1:19:00 Welcome to another episode of "UFO Plot Device Theater"!
I gave this episode a laugh mainly for Crow's fashion commentary - one of the funniest host segments I've seen !

So. The head of the police force is named "Gay Bar". What is Sandy Frank trying to tell us?

Godo looks remarkably like Carl Sagan after he shaves.
I love the "Why Doesn't Johnny Care?" host segment. The bots' spot-on imitation of a super-old-school projector is awesome, but the weird description of Johnny's dark, institutionalized world sound like something out of LOST, like a leftover Dharma Project film. Creepy and fascinating.

A planet where MEN evolved from APES!?

So I'm watching all the episodes in order from Season 1. I'll probably watch Season 0 eventually, but how do the riffs in this episode compare to season 0? Worth watching?

Does Joel say "oh shit am I tired" at 9:50?!!

Deep down inside, I really hope and believe that Crow really caught the whiffle ball and it wasn't a planned prop placement

Crow's ape fashion reportage at 1:14:00 is hilarious. "This little number is red hot and looks great on any species. . . . Halt! Who goes there? Why it's Jacques, in the timeless Colonel Sanders topcoat."

Time of the Apes started out as an entire TV series broadcast in Japan (of course). Sandy Frank then edited the whole thing down to a 97-minute movie. BBI pared it down even further to make KTMA episode 17. This episode is missing at least one scene from the KTMA version, but it's honestly a little less confusing without it.
Special guest appearance by baby Eli Mallon (son of Jim?).
