Ever wonder why Mike riffs at 1:23 with a reference to Manos? How does he know about that? Just some scientific facts, I should really just relax.

I was totally fooled into thinking Micky was the killer, and that the creepy janitor was a red herring. What a twist!

Everyone in this movie could've been strangled and I don't think it would've made one iota of difference.

Two observations about the Jimmy's dark-haired friend Tony:
1. He looks exactly like Andy (engaged to the Romulan) from the short
2. It was his girlfriend who was strangled in the shower, but during the next scene he's in, he never mentions her death or acts traumatized. Yet he had to have heard about the crime-even Mikey knew that another girl had been killed.

The Romulan babe in the short is----------------------------------
"Mrs. Snow" (the reverend's wife in 'The Screaming Skull').
"Is This Love" was a springboard for at least one 'acting career'.

Okay, I'm going to ask, at the risk of taking this all too seriously: why the HELL does finding Jimmy's discarded jacket in the janitor's closet immediately strike terror and suspicion in Betty's heart? I get that the bulldog emblem is off of it but as has been pointed out in an earlier comment the shower murder scene shows the emblem on the killer's jacket *before* Jimmy throws away his. And as the janitor, wouldn't he be expected to pick up things students toss on the ground? This is one of my all-time favorite episodes and yet it just now struck me that Betty's reaction to finding Jimmy's jacket makes no sense.

Wonder if anyone familiar with "Dark Shadows" identifies the guy whose the boyfriend of the "Romulan" in the short "Is it Love?" His name is Craig Slocum and he had a very brief run on "...Shadows" first as Noah Gifford and later as Mrs. Johnson's son Harry!!!

What is up with all these old movies and thinking that its a great idea to stick some random person singing a horrible song right in the middle?!?! over half of the movies do it!!! Its terrible, its like all the directors and screen writers got together and said how can we slow down the story while making the audience want to kill themselves? I know amateur singing!

I love this goofy movie. How can you not? Total amateur production, with lots of local color. I had a friend who attended Huntington HS, and she would wax nostalgic when we watched it. Until "We Are Marshall" came out, I imagine "Strangler" was the most (in)famous movie ever set in Huntington WV.

One of the weirdest parts of this movie is that there's a serial killer on the loose, targeting teenage girls (except for that one that didn't fit in with the pattern...inexplicably), and no one seems to think that there's any danger. Parents are gone until all hours of the nights, leaving their teenage daughter completely alone. A friend of the teenage girl was killed and yet she doesn't lock any doors when she goes home and is ALL ALONE in the house. Her boyfriend spends no time mourning...neither does anyone else.

It's like the murders are occurring in a parallel universe or something.

Mikey ranks up there with Jar Jar Binks on the list of characters you want to see beaten up. In course in Jar Jar's case that is "die a violent death on camera".

I just watched this one with my older brother, and I'm putting it on the list of episodes to show newcomers. He's seen bits and pieces of the show but has never really been into it, but we just laughed our asses off. The riffing is consistently funny and solid the whole way through, the host segments aren't too weird of confusing, and there's just the right amount of ridiculousness (the chase scene, and "He didn't steal no bike, neither!") to make it great for first timers.

That girl in the short is such a spoiled brat. She gets engaged after knowing a guy for two months. She's planning on dropping out of school to help him become a football player. Her parents come and make the crazy request to meet the person their only child is marrying. They encourage her to finish college, and they offer to help them buy a house. What fiends! How DARE they!

Then, she says that she's not a child and her proof is to declare, "I'm me and I'll do what I want!" ...and then, runs off and elopes. Yep, that sure is adult behavior. :P

Seriously; who finances a movie, sees the rushes with this standard of acting and thinks that it's a good idea to press on and inflict this film on the world. Somewhere, as a result of this film, Sir Ian McKellen is shedding a single tear while Sir Laurence Oliver spins in his grave.

I used to find it corny when Mike would look at the bots when he laughed at something Kevin or Trace/Bill would say until I realized they probably spent so much time pretending to interact with the bots like they were real that they eventually forgot they were puppets after awhile.

I always get weird looks in public because not only is Yipe Stripes (or whatever the hell it is called) catchy, as another user stated on here, but Mike/Bots riffs on it are equally catchy. Try explaining why you joyfully sang 'white flight' while walking down the street or 'zieg heil' at your desk at work while whistling.

I love those Romulan girls, or was she a Vulcan? Oh well, I quess we'll never know lol. Bad plot point in this movie, well if you wanna call it a movie :-). Why would that dum kid leave his jacket patch in his locker, so the murdering perv janitor can get it? I suppose when he killed the girl in the shower and you can see the patch on the jacket that's when he first stole it then huh? Gimmie a break! Why is it off his jacket anyways, ever heard of sewing or stitching? How was it applied to the jacket anyhow, with spit lol. I mean jeez, they coulda came up with a better "oh wow", "dunt dunt dunt" moment than that! Besides, most gangs would take there jackets AND PATCHES home with them it's there life. Ok, calm down...I'm tired of venting :-D
