Yeah, when your dad got the shotgun down ...
"The Dead Kennedys! Circle Jerks! The Cramps! The Buzzcocks! The Butthole Surfers!"
"Now the whole ugly mess will come out again."
Hey, don't talk about Mikey that way.
"I remember when I first felt that way about Andy."
At the turn of the century.
Why don't I just... strangle myself then? heh heh... heheheh... heh... heh...
"You and Andy seems so..so..." "--so old-fashioned, I suppose you mean." No, just OLD.
Now, is this a teenager who strangles or a person who strangles teenagers?
" I had a fella who told me ..."
{turns on milkshake mixer}
ker-zzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
"Now don't be cross Betty, let's hear Peggy's side." Well, he's good in the sack and he likes to get high. *GASP*
If my demands are not met, then the screams of those who've wronged me, and the smell of burning flesh will fill the student...ummm...stu-dent union.
MR. ROYSON! Let me do the talking!
Yes lieutenant ... jagoff
What was that?!?
She doesn't know about the stench of ammonia from the piles of crap filled diapers!
A daring chase scene well within the confines of the law!
See the incredible school zone action!
Wow! That went well! I reached out to other human beings and was NOT slapped down!
Clang Clang Clang with the trolley...
Pansy-Gram!
Mistress Aisha, I'm here for my beating!
Stay away from the riverfront! And no more pretending you're Lord Byron!
"I love it when you act like Der Fuhrer honey. Let's commit the marriage act. No?"
'Uh, let's see ... , yeah - If my demands are not met the screams of those who've wronged me and the smell of burning flesh will fill the student ... uh...union.' 'Hows the essay coming?' 'Not so good, mom.'

This is one of my favorite episodes. It looks like they got the whole town involved and they all tried really hard so there's an underlying enthusiasm infusing all that badness. So funny!
Those shorts would not work in today standards.
'It's me Jimmy...' Can I have my Streisand albums back?
Okay, I'll confess I gave this episode a laugh largely because of the short. It's possibly my favorite short ever. Excellently riffed, also.
(looks at Mikey)
-Weren't we gonna beat the crap outta him?
-Eh, we'll get him next time.
-It's implied.
is a pretty Simpsonsesque set of riffs but I can't explain why.
This chick needs to see a Boing Specialist.

Look, I added a second link in "shorts" for a non MST2K version of just the "Yipe Stripes" song. I couldn't figure out how to get the title to display though. Just click on link two! It starts with a little promo of the movie, and then we get the song!

Has anyone else noticed just how much Mikey sounds like Lil' Gideon on "Gravity Falls"? (Yes, I'm a fan!)
I don't think any of the couples they mentioned after the "Is this Love?" short are actually still together.

don't you love it how mst3k always gives away who did the crime in a mystery film before the film gives it away?
48:40-ish Angry Dad does a pretty good Nixon! Needs a bit more jowl maybe...
I think that the nerdy kid Mikey looks like ELIJAH WOODS' character in SIN CITY....you know the one that was eating his victims....
Is he giving birth?
LOL
"Special Thanks to Teachers of America" who we just totally burned in the Janitor song.

1:02:25 At this point my prime suspect was Norman Bates.

Mikey is merely a preview of the geekyness that is Troy from 'Final Sacrifice'.
40:00 I know I've seen Crow's legs before, but that just felt odd.

Holy crap that lady in the short was mercilessly assaulted by an ugly tree! She's almost as ugly as Maggie Gyllenhaal.
I laugh out loud every time I hear "Watch out for snakes"

For some reason, whenever I hear "Yipe Stripes" I always think of gum.
This is by far my favorite episode. I laughed the whole way through. From way back I remembered the short "Is this Love" but forgot some of the movie. "yipe stripes"!

If they didn't appear in the same shot multiple times throughout the movie, I'd swear that Betty and Mikey were the same person.
Mikey later went on to become a major figure in the singer songwriter movement but lost it all in a 2nd bike theft scandal.

I love Mike's endearing whiteness at 40:20-41:20.
This is the kind of family where the dads locks himself in the study and shots himself with a smith and Wesson and the mother carries on like nothing happened. It's like a Tennessee Williams play only with bad 50's pop music.

Hold on a minute! Jimmy's supposed theft of a bike prompted his family to move to a new town out of humiliation?

I defy you to watch this episode and not get "Yipe Stripes" stuck in your head.
I DEFY YOU.

So they need to use the siren to transport a corpse?

By Jupiter???
How do they catch a seriel killer and immediately celebrate at the diner, laughing and dancing? That last scene transcends bad writing. Just creepy.
The fight at 1:11:00 reminded me of the ending to the 1979 classic "The Wanderers". Except, of course, that The Wanderers had no spineless suburban wimps who fought with their arms down at their sides!
This episode deserves laughs if only for the janitor song.
