I thought I recognized Pedro's real name, glen Strange. IMDB reports he took over the role of Frankenstein's monster from Boris Karloff. Strange played the role in house of Frankenstein, house of Dracula and Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein. has a looong list of various western roles. he was the bartender in the classic western tv series gunsmoke. And was real life a cowboy. Stood 6`5 and his nickname was Pee Wee.

Does Pedro make his own compost ?? He kinda reminds me of Kenny Rodgers and Dracula having a baby

Those "safety glasses" the Mads wear during the invention exchange... that's, uh... yikes. That was bad.

What did the scientist think was going to happen? He takes a guy who is already bigger and stronger than him, makes him into a werewolf teaches him to kill then treats him like crap and beats him with a whip... of course pedro kills him. it was inevitable.

Is this the first episode where Joel and the 'Bots do the "Skipper?" "Little Buddy?" routine?

More Cody: there's not enough nitrous oxide in that little tank to make the Moonmen pass out like that. Believe me, I know about this stuff.

The positive side to becoming half wolf, that no one wants to give the Doctor credit for, is that the guys IQ actually went up!

Just noticed: Cody flies to the moon, still wearing his natty tie!

More Cody: I wonder what vehicle was used as a base for that dumb "moon tank"- a WWII surplus Willys Jeep?

Dr. F. : "Come in Joel, you fancy pants-y nancy boy!"

(Also, I'm sad after watching the invention exchange. I don't remember owning a single handbag or toy that was designed to catch on fire. So unfair!)

Confession time: I actually get nervous at the end of this Cody short. Usually the serials have lame cliffhangers, but this one is actually unnerving to me.

Does anyone else find the vinyl crackling in the background of the films sound track oddly soothing, bordering and making you fall asleep?? .. I mean .. I know the film sure as hell isn't helping to keep me awake but I find the crackly noise floor rather relaxing .. shame all these stupid actors insist on saying stuff :P

Cody fills the moon lab with knockout gas. He comes in, gun drawn in case of trouble. The main villain appears to be passed out on the floor. Cody spots him instantly, and... Puts his gun away and walks off?

I like that in the older episodes of MST3K, Joel seems to slap his desk before running into the theaters, and then in the later episodes they started to have buttons on the desk to slap. I'm sure there are other little differences to note.

I was worried for the Mads and Joel as both their inventions had sudden flames shooting out! Was that a coincidence, by the way?

In Commando Cody they wear helmets and oxy tanks while on the moon so why does the moon lab have an air intake??

Question: Is the reporter supposed to be monumentally stupid, not really knowing what dinosaurs were or even remembering the word "dinosaur," or were dinosaurs still relatively unpopular in science fiction so that the producers thought people in the audience wouldn't recognize the word "dinosaur?" I'm guessing the former...

In the infancy of a series, when looked at retroactively, allows us plebs to see where the masterminds intended the show to be. Enjoy the raw. Joel is the GOAT!
