Potential Episode Source?

As Warner Bros has copyclaimed the Youtube vid, I'm making a reply here because I'm not sure if it'll help or not. I stumbled upon Yahoo View, and apparently they got a scatter of episodes to view as well, including this feature specifically. I'll link Black Scorpion here, but there's like 46 extras. Some may have been posted by Shoutfactory or other sources, but it's a potential fallback.

For now, today's feature. Eat it and weep, pasty boy!

Flint Michigan, hell yeah. Born and raised there, but moved out about 15 years ago. Managed to avoid the lead-water... but not Michael Moore

It's on Shout! Factory TV, and as of this date, available as a single episode on DVD at most Wal Marts.

not bad

that movie wasn't so bad. The train wreck near the end (oops, spoiler) was pretty amazing for it's time. Better than Transformers, anyway. The grand finale battle was pretty good too. This was a good episode to show how Season 1 went from winging-it ad-libs to full on hysterical riffing. No doubt this episode was scripted for your laughing pleasure. Some real zingers to be had.

10:34 The Professor says, "Some of my countrymen may like rattlesnakes in the house. I can do without them." Wow... not overly racist, is it? Would it have set production THAT FAR behind to at least ask ONE Mexican person if ANY of them at all like rattlesnakes in their houses? ¡Háy Chihuahua! :-)

Well done Gypsy.
I also love the 'bots discussing Joel's 'odd' human behavior. I also completely lost it at Cambots translations. "my goiter has been worse since the accident" I also know just enough spanish to know that isn't what they're saying, but it's still hilarious.

I actually think the scorpion looks pretty good. as realistic as some monsters from 90s movies. Also I loved the skit with gypsy as the scorpion.

Giant arthropods strike in the night,
and fill San Lorenzo with fright.
The scorpion's sting
is a terrible thing,
but their bark is much worse than their bite.

San Lorenzo tiene miedo
porque los oficiales no puedo
matar los alacranes--
son demasiado gigantes--
que marcharon del volcano nuevo.

I was glad Joel hinted about the announcer/narrator, asking wonder what he looks like? Because he is clearly Les Tremayne, king of the announcers for several decades, radio onwards. And he also was third banana in lots of movies.

I felt like Crow was about to cry at the end there. Amazing how much one can emote with a bowling pin and a couple of pingpong balls with pupils drawn on.

Two great host segments! Love Tony Pepdardt's letter to Crow and Gypsy as The Black Scorpion (too bad her tail fell off, although something about the way the puppet/robots fall apart is just so funny in itself!)

I'm surprised they didn't riff the 'ancient squeaking scorpion' (34:52) that sounds strangely like a mouse getting squeezed.

Ram Chips - Good thing: Willis O'Brien's stop action animation. Bad things: Over-use of drooling scorpion face and Juanito (except when he is chased by the giant mutant tick - 'Quick, somebody get a lit cigarette!')

Dr. E: "Come in, Joel, my little free-floating clambake...." "Wild boy."

Dr. F.: "Until next time, my little skin-on wiener." o_0

I'm so tempted to call somebody "free-floating clambake" or "skin-on wiener" IRL just to see what their reaction is.

"Josh Weinstein" is not usually the first name that comes to mind when you think of the people behind MST3K, but his contributions were enormous. Besides helping to write the theme song, performing in front of and behind the camera, writing gags and operating puppets from the KTMA days onward, Weinstein reportedly discovered a struggling young comedian named Mike Nelson and asked him to join the crew. He makes a quiet, graceful exit at the end of this episode (while wearing several pounds of green makeup).
