The weird thing about this movie is that every single handshake/hand interaction is totally awkward. Especially the four way fist-pound at the end

Little known fact: even though the ocean features prominently in this movie, it was actually filmed almost entirely in BRO-ledo, BRO-hio!

If they do more episodes, I hope they do more movies from The Asylum. Sticking with their mockbusters of course because I don't want them to do Sharknado, that's WAY TOO easy to make fun and is low hanging fruit in my opinion at least.

It was nice to see a more modern movie on MST3K (which apparently was Executive Meddling on Netflix's part). Even if it is a little jarring to see the Shadowrama over digitally shot footage.

I was aware of The Asylum, and just how infamous their films were beforehand. But I wasn't aware of just how unsubtle they are. They don't hide the fact that this is a rip-off in the slightest. The parallels are VERY obvious.

And it's not like it's done in a sort of tounge-in-cheek parody way. It's like they said "Let's take this movie that's getting pretty popular, and do it even worse."

Also, if you haven't seen Pacific Rim, which is what this film ripped off, go watch it. It's a modern classic.

It's still funny for the riff... But that movie is pure cinematic torture to me. 99% of Asylum and SciFi productions are garbage.

This movie is like the opposite of Hypno Helio Static Stasis -- non-stop movement. Not really action, just mindless movement.

The Air-Dancer Organ made me split my sides - almost takes the prize from the Chiro-Gyro!

Also, it's great that they kept Growler and M. Waverly as sort of robo-backup singers: Waverly even got an honest riff in!
