1:04:00- Zigra's girl says to stay back or she'll feed the kids to the dolphins. Two killer whales are shown in the pool. They're related, but not dolphins in the Flipper/ Miami football team sort-of way.

I love how Crow tries to wrap his head around (literally) the voluptuous alien chick in that first scene!

I think that the real question here is: how did that Orange Jumpsuit guy work as a dolphin trainer for probably his whole life and yet not know that dolphins use echolocation until now?

At 35:30 Johnny Mo took the time to talk with the kids. Then he went back to making Uma Thurman punch her way out of a coffin, (Honestly, what was the point of that exposition?)

She announces on a worldwide broadcast that they're going to take over the Earth. Zigra tells her that she has to catch the two kids because they know too much. Did he not realize they were transmitting? (And what was the point of kidnapping them as witnesses?)

Why did they have Mike and Bridget fake being dubbed? They could have had them mouth nonsense while others actually did dub their voices.

So of all the Gamera shows this is by far the most watchable. not only is the Zigra girl smoking hot, but the slapstick flavor of the film makes it obvious that it was intended a a comedy from the beginning. Also as a fan of heavy and speed metal music I loved Franks singing at the end.

So our science somehow polluted the oceans of an alien planet that we didn't even know existed?

...and I'm partially to blame. The riffs and skits here are glorious. But I just can't deal with those horrible kid voices. If only somebody could invent an app that would make them less painful. I'd totally have this one in my Top Twenty at that point, along with Time of the Apes.

It strikes me as a little odd that they identify this as their last Gamera movie in the beginning. There are Gamera movies they never used, after all.

Do you suppose those movies were actually too good to serve as Riff fodder?

I love how the Crow-double (with the cooked shish kebab arms) has a little foil hat. Don't want your net overdone and dried out.
Also, it must have been lots of work for the interns, cleaning all the spit-take root beer off the 'bots. Not to mention raw egg . . .

My favorite part of this horrible movie is the last host spot. The Gamera songs are hilarious, and seeing Dr F's hair finally out of the ponytail just made me swoon. Sorry but I am just crazy about long hair on guys. Even if it was 20+ years ago :). And with a super cheesy Gamera movie? Made my night.

I get that movie science can be stretched, but when you get basic facts wrong it can be really distracting. A planet in another galaxy can't be 400 lightyears from Earth any more than a town in Canada can be 400 miles from Miami. A magnitude 16 earthquake would kill way, way more than 10,000 people, no matter where it occured. How many? I don't know, it's never happened before. And to correct the first line of the movie: Since the dawn of time, man has mostly wondered what the moon is and if he should be sacrificing goats to appease it.

So, did Sea World and Coca cola sponsor this film? I do wonder if 'Coke' was the original word and if so, was it a generic word for soda? Otherwise why on earth would Helen be holding a bottle of Orange Crush at the end?

"Since the dawn of time, man's most cherished dream was to fly to the moon."
What?! Even disregarding the meaningless phrase "since the dawn of time", that is a fallacious statement. The idea of flying to the moon first shows up in the Renaissance in the first science fiction story we know of. It was called Somnium, written by Johannes Kepler and after he published it, his mother was accused of witchcraft. Even though that exists, it's not like everyone wanted to go there. It was considered as fanciful as flying into a black hole.

Excuse me while I take breath, repeat to myself it's just a show and try to relax.

I'm surprised that neither Mike nor the bots commented on the fact that there, supposedly, a pair of magnitude 16 earthquakes, and these two guys were casually chatting about it. I'm no seismologist or geologist, but one that strong would be 100,000 times more powerful than the most powerful earthquake ever recorded-you'd have enough force to alter the Earth's rotation. That is news which should have people who live in an island nation, like Japan, soiling their pants instead of drinking lemonade.

I know that this movie has virtually no technical or logical flaws....but of all the dumb mistakes...first Zigra says "Save mankind so that they can become our slaves.", but then that sultry Zigra moon-base lady says that Zigra intends humans to be their caged rations as food....WHICH ONE?! Geez....Sorry. I'm done.
