The sounds of Dr. F and Frank off screen at the end... O.O

The main character wasn't so much a poor man's John Wayne, more like a dead man's John Wayne.

So a single year will allow the wild herd to replenish its population? Even if the horses were getting it on like rabbits, gestation still takes 11 months.
Unless... These are MUTANT wild horses! Within a year, they'll have overrun the valley, all the grass will be gone, and the townspeople live in fear of the day horses discover the taste of human flesh. Now let's watch THAT movie!

Cooper getting killed really brought that town together. All their problems were solved by him dying.

So the clueless writers couldn't figure out which female would make a better love interest.

And the film ends with our hero flanked by two babes.
Decisions, decisions...

"Okay, men. Here's what we're going to do. We're going to go out, find the wild horses, and round up every last one."
"You realize, if we do this, it will be the last of the wild horses?"

Oh, really? Is that how that works? If you go out and take them all, there won't be any left?

The dialogues kind of hard to hear in this movie, what prompted the protagonist to slap that girls behind and what the heck happened with remedy and that woman at the end? Was she a "mail order bride" as they call it?

Not clear what crime the sherif was going to charge our hero with. Wearing a mask and NOT robbing a stage coach? The Lone Ranger used to do that kind of thing all the time.

You know, it doesn't make our hero any less of a chauvinistic hinder-slapping jackass, but a woman wearing trousers back then would have just been unthinkable. Sheriff could have arrested her for indecent exposure. Silly in retrospect, yes, but if women could wear trousers, they could ride, and if they could ride, they could be independent, and they might get wild ideas about voting... but I digress! Lippert = Bad, Dr. F and Frank on SOL = Good.

Did anyone notice that when the deputies were killing people crow says "the to tonton macoutes of the old west"? The tonton macoutes were a vigilante-voodoo goon squad in Haiti during the dictatorship of Duvalier and they were allowed to kill anyone they wanted too. Another great but obscure reference!

Heheh, great episode! ^_^ Awesome host sections. Gotta love the mirror universe bit, having Dr. F and Frank in the theater was fun, the movie was bearable, and the riffs were good.

Yup ... another barrel of stinky cow shit that mascarades as a movie. Saved only by the riffing, the mirror-verse sketches and Dr. F's and TV's Franks screams of pleasure with their new deluxe agony booth ... who knew eh! Otherwise my god, this movie was just awful.

They do get some great milage out of the Manos jokes :P

A fun episode, but the host segments are pure gold. And having the alternate-dimension Dr. Forrester & TV's Frank riffing was one of my favorite times in the whole series.

Mary Beth Hughes is "Terry" in this movie --- she was "Kitty Reed" in "I Accuse My Parents." Hence all the shoe and shoe store riffs when she shows up in the film.

I like that there's a lot more of Gypsy in this episode. She started getting a lot more character time starting in season 5. Though I wish we'd gotten to see evil Cambot.

This is actually the most watchable of the Lippert Collection. I suppose that's not saying much, but a couple of important plusses: No Sid "Monkey Boy" Melton, and the women don't spend all their time cringing and screaming.

The Double Cranch riff is so clever, as it was started by Dr. F and Frank, and then continues with Crow and Mike. So Trace gets to play the recurring joke as 2 different characters. Very clever.

Evil Mike carrying the Evil Crow puppet back to Trace is a little creepy; I understand the puppet isn't alive and all, but seeing it motionless and dead-eyed like that is just eerie.
