What do you consider to be the best episode from Joel, Mike and Jonah? For me it would be:

Joel: Mitchell or Eegah.

Mike: Werewolf.

Jonah: Wizards of the Lost Kingdom I.

The QuipTrack of The Lake House is free today with promo code MUSHY! Get it here: https://bit.ly/2GorCMZ

And if you don't own a copy of The Lake House, we offer that too in a custom case! https://bit.ly/2X3rSG5

Kate and Leopold's massive dump on the concept of time travel was a pretty good start, but The Lake House perfected the art. With an omniscient terrier as cosmic referee, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, separated by two years, engage in a by-mail contest to see who can use their time-traveling mailbox least creatively and do the least good with their incredible discovery in this paradox-riddled puke stain on the fabric of time and space. Soon, the downright naughtiness of using such a scandalously obsolete mode of communication sets both of their hearts afire, and they decide that, continuum be damned, they're gonna find a way to be together! Amidst all the USPS-paced romance and action, will the two of them unlock the secret of the lake house and its incredible time-travelling mailbox?

Nope.

We all know the episodes that everyone loves, like Space Mutiny and Manos, but what about the episodes that are good, but nobody talks about them? What episodes do you feel are underrated?

This question probably gets asked a lot, but, what's your personal top 10 best MST3K episodes? I don't know if I could ever get it down to just 10, there are so many great episodes to choose from.

Day of the Animals
Berserker; Hell's Warrior
Hillbillys in a Haunted House
Missile to the Moon(Mike & Fred Willard)
...and they added a few others back on the list that had been there and went away.

... What's your favorite invention exchange? If you don't have an overall fave, then go by era.
Joel: The Chiro-gyro. Well done, and one of Joel's early comedy props.
Mads I: The Meat Re-animator.
Mike: They just didn't care.
Jonah: Fried Turkey Dunk Tank.
Mads II: Time-Travel Oven (definitely a pattern emerging here).

What's all of your favorite host segment in MST3K? mine is the were-crow segments from Werewolf for Mike, for Joel, it's the scene recreation from I Accuse My Parents, and for Jonah, it's the appearance of Mr Weavly or the one when the bots do some weird dance.

Dick Miller has died at the age of 90.
He appeared in these MST3k/Rifftrax experiments:
It Conquered the World (Experiment #311) - as Sgt. Neil
Gunslinger (Experiment #511) - as Jimmy Tonto
The Undead (Experiment #806) - as The Leper
The Little Shop of Horrors (RiffTrax) - as Burson Fouch

Dick Miller starred in many American International Pictures, particularly those directed by the Roger "The-Man-Himself" Corman. My favorite performance of Dick's was his star turn in the Corman classic send up of Beat Culture and modern art, "A Bucket of Blood", a quasi-adaption of the many "Wax Museum" variations. He sincerely shined as a picked on busboy who found a way to shake off his "loser" label...briefly.

While never a big star, Dick kept busy HIS ENTIRE LIFE, doing especially wonderful turns in the movies of Joe Dante, most prominently in the two Gremlin movies as the man who had grappled with the creatures during his time in the armed forces, Murray Futterman. It was great to see him return in Dante's affectionate tribute to the films of William Castle (primarily), Bert I. Gordon and Roger Corman, "Matinee", a movie I feel is both underappreciated and a MUST SEE for fans of the gloriously cheesy films of its era. It's smashing entertainment featuring fine performances from adult actors you'll recognize, and talented youngsters who you probably won't.

He also appeared in The Terminator and Dante's The Howling, so he had a pretty good track record. But most of all- and I mentioned this in a long ago thread on this very site- Dick Miller had that quality that always made him a welcome sight to me in any role. I'm thankful he left an uncommon legacy for us and future generations to savor. RIP

PS- I would not be surprised at all to learn certain members of Club MST3k met and/or even knew Dick Miller. Just a feeling.

Earlier I read a comment from me over a year old. I was stunned. I couldn't believe it's been that long since I found this great site. I know I'm still a rookie compared to a lot of y'all, especially those that have been here over 7 years. I just want to say it has been a pleasure for over a year to have this site, for the movies and the great discussions on this site, and I just hope I'm lucky enough to be here in 7 years.

Say Kinga completely blew a fuse and decided to Kingachrome up a certifiably-great film to Jonah and the Bots, and challenge them to make it funny (a la Rifftrax taking on things like Casablanca and The Wrath of Khan).

Which undeniably *great* film would you love to see the current SOL crew take on?

I have now watched RT riffing of Yor: Hunter from the Future, and once I got over the fact that, for whatever reason, Reb Brown is dubbed by Miles O'Keefe (or Miles and Reb were both dubbed by the same guy)... actually, I never got over it. Every time Reb Brown's mouth opened and Miles O'Keefe's voice came out I was genuinely confused.

Regardless, as I watched this bizarre movie, I was genuinely struck by how easily it could have just been an extension of Cave Dwellers or perhaps draft 2 of Cave Dwellers, and then, I thought that it would also fit into the world of Teenage Caveman.

And then, suddenly, the movie ended and I was left wondering... "What did I just watch?"

Great riffing but the movie. Wow.
