I really like this episode. However, I can't explain why because, you see, I'm just not sure yet. I'm at a loss! Should you decide to agree with me about this episode, fine. If not, then leave me alone.

Does anyone know what is happening at the beginning at the movie? Someone is sneaking up on some people kissing in a car somewhere. Why? Even after watching it several times, I can't figure out why on earth this is relevant at all, and it's driving me crazy! Did anyone catch something I missed?

This is one of, if not the worst movie ever viewed on the SOL. It was entirely lit by two flashlights, someone obviously used a blender to edit it, but the tall blonde graduate student, Suzy, could barely open a door, had real trouble operating an elevator, and completely failed at the complex task of removing a bangle bracelet. Sheesh! Also, closing credits....Assistant Director:
Skip Schoolnik ??? Come on !!!!

I can't believe this is this first time I've watched this in its entirety! Amazing. Now one of my favorites. This leaves Eegah! and Robot Holocaust as the only two that I just can't seem to "do."

Gonna be that guy--the book is by "Baragon" P. Kelly, who is a separate monster from the "Barugon" in this film. Baragon was a staple of Toho and had recurring appearances in Godzilla films. Alas, Baragon had an Eagles-esque relationship with cocaine that sidelined him after the 1960s, and it was he who led Godzilla down the dark path of drinking and womanizing that caused an unexpected career hiatus in 1975. While Godzilla was able to get the help that he needed and return to work in 1984, Baragon continued in a self-destructive spiral leading to a mescaline-fueled confrontation with the police in 1991 that landed him in Lompoc for five years.

Shame and timely intervention by Mothra and Jet Jaguar after his release helped Baragon realize that he indeed did have a problem, and Baragon embarked on a twelve-step program in 1998 that culminated in a trip to Jerusalem where he found God and crushed tanks. Fueled by his newfound sobriety, he found his way back into the spotlight one last time with Godzilla in 2002 before heading into retirement.

So...is there something that got cut out that would explain why in the world Blanchard was so determined to stop a project that was on the verge of being completely successful and bringing loads of money into the foundation (or whatever the establishment was) and would revolutionize pretty much everything having to do with transportation? It makes no sense to me, even if he didn't like Paul. I would think he'd be more likely to wait until Paul was successful and then make sure that all the profits and credit go to the establishment.

I remember one of the Joel episodes, they looked to Leonard Maltin for salvation... and he betrayed them three times.

Hey that Leper was Dick Miller from Gunslinger and It Conquered the World. (Also Little shop of Horrors, Gremlins 1&2, The Wasp Woman, and X: the Man with the X-ray Eyes.) That makes only two people I can think of who have hat-tricked the Mystery Science Theater.

One of the small handful of eps I never bothered to finish--along with Hamlet, Final Justice, and Track of the Moon Beast (yeah--Season 10 isn't my favorite)

Gonna give it another shot tonight--let's see what happens :)
