Everything else I've seen of Season 0 has been really rough going; the riffing is wildly inconsistent as it was all improvised in that season. Then, in the middle of all that roughness, here's this little jewel. Everybody's hitting. Even Servo is good, and I never cared for the way Weinstein played him. This could've been a Season 1 episode, easily. I'm really surprised that this movie wasn't one of the Season 0 movies that was re-riffed at Comedy Central. A great companion piece for San Francisco International.

I just love the dark-haired girl's parents. What a couple of selfish douchebags. I'm surprised she didn't take up a life of crime earlier.

D'aahh, jeezus... how many of these damn' movies use the same old White Sands captured V-2 test launch footage? That's frickin' sad, man.

Oh, and stop me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the same meteor shower that they used in "12 To The Moon"? Maa-aaan, this is getting worse by the minute.

...d'ohh, man, and check out THIS crap! That's from "King Dinosaur"! Seriously, man -- the landing footage is TOTALLY "King Dinosaur"! Cheap bastards. B'wahh ha ha ha hah!

Just watched this last night, and I can't help wondering... just who the hell was responsible for casting the parts in this turkey? Who was responsible for picking out the guy to play "Colossus"? F'cripesake, just look at the guy -- he's not any taller than any other character, he doesn't even have a cool beard, and they expect the audience to think of this guy as a Colossus? This standard-issue gym rat? Are they shittin' us, man? D'ahh ha ha ha ha ha hah.

Of course, mind you, this massive casting FAIL makes this episode even more enjoyable.

My big question is: what the hell happens to the Camaro? Is it just trans-substantiated into some kind of weird stasis in a third alternate dimension? You never see it after Cabot and his fat geek buddy "warp out" and end up on Gor. The story doesn't even deal with it; it just disappears. Lucky for the audience, I guess; otherwise they'd have been abused with a boring-assed twenty-minute comic-relief scene where the band of desert marauders tries to make sense out of this weird chariot lying in the desert all busted up.

What a gem. Great riffs, great host segments, a real stinker of a movie, AND a delicious seafood dinner!

I'm totally digging their riffing over the closing credits right now -- Crow wailing on electric guitar, Servo doing his very best '80s power-balled belter, the take-off on that old Journey song -- one of their best closing-credits going-out bits ever. They're really good at those, riffing over the closing credits of movies made in the '70s and '80s, the dawn of the era of closing credits that go on forever.

I love how all the launch footage is stock footage of test launches of captured V-2s at White Sands. Still, a much classier use of old stock footage of rockets than "Creeping Terror", which showed us stock footage of an Atlas ICBM launch run in reverse and expected us to believe it was an alien spacecraft landing (uh huh, yeah, right).

Why, yes, I _am_ a hopeless old space history geek...

Jeezus, talk about cheap... they've lifted pretty much the entire music score from Attack Of The Giant Leeches, including the jerky, staccato-plagued, spazzed-out opening theme.

And, what's with all the Steves? Granted, my journalism class in my senior year of high school had three guys named Mike (including me), but that was by accident; the writers of this stinkburger included two (three?) guys named Steve on purpose. I haven't been this confused since I struggled to keep the Kens sorted out in Fugitive Alien.
