I haven't even watched experiment 502-Hercules yet, but I recognize the origin of of one of the riffs while scanning through them.
"Excuse me while I have a strange interlude"
Groucho Marx said "Pardon me while I have a strange interlude." in the movie Animal Crackers (One of my favorite Marx Brothers films)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Omu_bePQ4Lc
Groucho actually riffed himself while poking fun at an experimental play from 1928 called "Strange Interlude". The play featured actors breaking character to speak their internal dialog to the audience. It was censored and banned in many cities due to it's subject matter.

I was practically screaming at the screen. ICBM's were adapted as orbital launch vehicles, not the other way around!

Is it actually a complement if I say Mike does an absolutely brilliant Torgo? It sure did take him a while to get back from his car with the sodas!

What made the creators of the short think that there were enough oblivious college students blundering around campuses at that time to the point that they needed a movie reminder on how to shower and dress themselves? And I like her hair too!

That was like "Key Largo", except for shrews instead of Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Lionel Barrymore, Edward G Robinson, good acting, and good writing.
LOL
Seriously, The doctor said "We are self-sufficient here." if the island was self sufficient, why did the captain have a whole boat full of new supplies for them?

don't you love it how mst3k always gives away who did the crime in a mystery film before the film gives it away?

As a fan of Robert Heinlein, I kinda liked this experiment. It harkens (Did I say harkens??) back to his earlier young adult books, like "Space Cadet" and "Starman Jones". I think the writes of the show swiped stuff from him! Keep in mind, this was edited together from a few episodes of the 1954 TV series "Rocky Jones, Space Ranger". I think they did a pretty good job considering it was such an early television program! It was one of the few such early shows recorded on film, that's the only reason it survived for Joel and the Bots to "enjoy".

"No, you'll rub something else!"

Thursday afternoon. I pulled up at this one place. I didn’t know what time it was. I kinda got out of my car. I looked at the place. I walked toward some sort of structure in which people possibly dwelled. I noticed the agriculture. The sound editor added a tasty sax lick. I passed a tree or shrub of some variety. Then, I arrived at the door. I went through the door, it was quite cool. I had heard Batwoman had quite a lingerie collection. I decided to investigate.
