A repeated riff I don't really get...

So I know other people are concerned with more serious topics, but I was watching a RT tonight and it reminded of a riff they do often that I just don't get. Not because I don't understand but I don't get why it's a riff at all.

There are times when women in these older shows are shown changing clothes for whatever reason (mostly to titillate the audience, I'm sure), and they make a comment about the women wearing a dress underneath their dress. Are the guys (and gals, since they did have women writing the episodes, too) completely unfamiliar with the concept of a slip? It just seems so weird to me that they are claiming ignorance of what a slip is when it's clear that's what these women are wearing. The purpose of a slip is to be worn underneath a dress.

I just don't get it and I'm finding myself fixated on trying to understand why they have not only done it once but done it multiple times. I want to call them up and say, "It's called a slip. Got it?"

Anyone got or can suggest a nice image for a MSTie for an iphone's wallpaper? I've been rolling with Daft Punk for awhile but I thought I'd try mixing it up a little.

This film really does feel like a chick flick, albeit an incredibly depressing one. Coleman Francis was fascinating.

Watched the original Godzilla today, the Japanese version without Raymond Burr. It was not a bad movie, with more credible special effects than the knock-off films that followed. It represented a Japan that was already thoroughly westernized. Had an obvious anti-nuke message (it was 1954 Japan, after all), but their means of putting the big boy down was with another WMD developed through science (not a giant turtle). So was Godzilla a warning against further nuclear activity as stated? Or did thunder thighs actually represent Imperial Japan, and were the filmmakers saying that regime had to be nuked? You make the call.

Drama even less interesting than the Hamlet episode

I don't think people here like the things I have to say. Because I do not wish to wear the crown, I am now abdicating my throne as Drama King.

Now, with one last misuse of my power, I shall abscond with the royal treasury and take a respite from this web fiefdom. A lesser Hawaiian island sounds nice. Maybe see ya later, homies.

Is it just me, or did the the Rifftrax shorts disappear from Hulu? And at what point? I think I was watching a few shorts there a week or so ago but I don't quite remember. I also apologize if this was already addressed but I don't venture on the forum here often (I'm just here to listen to eps before I fall asleep).
