Okay, let's keep this theme of "favorites" going. What are your favorite shorts from MST3K episodes? Just the shorts themselves-not influenced by the feature movie they're paired with. Meaning you can like the short from an episode even if you didn't like the main movie.

My two favorites have to be Young Man's Fancy and Once Upon a Honeymoon. I love all of the naughty riffs against the "wholesomeness" of the 1950s lifestyles being featured.

Cave Dwellers. That's all I got. Any independent female character in a riffed movie ends up dead, taken by a man, or made chaste. I know these movies are products of their time and all, but wow. Pretty much wow.

I'm a lonely and unsociable cuss. I need my stories (as Grandma Dottie called serials). Silicon Valley is so funny but dont come fast enough. Veep is good. And of course Throne Game, but I'm hungry for more. True Detectives and Breaking Bad were delicious but totally digested. Time to watch the Sopranos. Sorry, no MST3K reference here but I trust our collective judgement.

Hey folks, between a deleted account and a few copyright claims, the YouTube offerings for seasons 1 and 2 are decimated! If anyone can manage it, please reupload any missing episodes you might have. I'd recommend setting the video to be unsearchable/private and just share the link here. Keep streaming the tapes!

212 - Godzilla vs. Megalon - almost 3 years ago

Anyone know why the Godzilla episodes are always taken down? Is it a copyright issue? If so, how was MST3K able to riff them to begin with? (The same should go for Gamera too, right?)

Grade A Netflix cheese

I've been half-watching this late 70's loopy Japanese Star Wars knockoff, Message from Space, and it is sublimely cheesy. It's like a wackier Fugitive Alien with a bit more budget. If you're looking for some home box office riff fodder, I highly recommend it! Anyone else have silly Netflix recommendations?

Has anyone noticed the guys making references to movies they haven't seen yet? A few examples I've noticed so far: Crow freaking out at the King Dinosaur footage recycled in Lost Continent even though they hadn't done King Dinosaur yet, the guys recognizing the spliced-in footage from Mole People in Wild World of Batwoman, and one of the bots making reference to The Beast of Yucca Flats in Mike's first episode, The Brain That Wouldn't Die. I get the feeling the BB crew had had a lot of these movies kicking around for a long time on the back burner, maybe waiting to get licensing rights before they worked on the riffs? Any thoughts or insights from the peanut gallery?
