Seth! Lookie lookie what I found!

There's 16mm of "Snow Thrills" - which is what you're looking for, and an 8mm of "Snow Speeds", which is not the same supposedly, but I only have an 8mm projector handy at the moment... I'll look into 16mm projectors though.

Hello good sir! I saw your reply to my film restoration post - those films seem really hard to find, but I wouldn't mind owning them on 8mm. If you could help me track down some I'd gladly digitize them for you

Thanks a ton for the DVDs of Phantom Empire and Horror Express. It's a little embarrassing how grateful I am.

Noticed your new moniker. Godzilla vs. Megalon was the first Godzilla film I ever saw, and still one of my faves. It's just so much fun (and it should help wash away the ickyness of Sidehackers). Also, I cast my vote for The Phantom Creeps. Happy watching!

Hi Sir Seth, is your location perhaps a reference to Beginning of the End? I'm rewatching that ep. Peace.

Could I recommend a namechange to "Sir Seth Unriffed"? I heard Cea Cea refer to you by that name and I think it suits you wonderfully.

So what's the consensus. Do most here keep their tapes or toss them out since this site began? My tapes don't take up much space but the quality of eps. here are much better.

Thanks, Sir Seth...

Lady U and I were watching Konga on Comet this am. If you don't know, Konga is essentially the British King Kong (spoiler: it's terrible). The major achievement is it reinforces how amazing the effects in the original King Kong were. Nearly 100 years on and and that version still holds up.

Also; unriffed Alien from LA is on later today. If you dare...

Marching Band talk--and not from Iggy

Lady Unriffed's company is one of the official sponsors of Ohio State Football. And while neither of us are football fans, we happily accepted a couple free tickets to last Saturday's game. It is, after all, an important part of the culture and fiber of the Columbus O area. Beyond the game, people were encouraging us to be sure to check out the band. Wow, they were right.
It started with what is termed the "Skull Session": where nearly 10,000 people were at St. John's Arena (former basketball venue) to listen to band practice. 10,000 people watching band practice. Let that sink in.
And this was 50th annual Band Alumni Reunion weekend. So in pregame and at halftime, in addition to the regular marching band, over 600 alumni were playing and marching as well--there was even a drum major from the 1944 band. All in time, all in form, all in the right spot at the right time. I only thought you got that kind of precision with the military.
If you ever get the chance to see an Ohio State game at home, even if you don't like football--the marching band is worth the look.
