Now THAT'S Some Trivia Right There...

In Escape 2000, there's a scene where a character is on a riverbank (53:05). In the background, there is a huge barge making its way down the river, with a big sign on it saying "Cibro." (Cibro is a New York based oil refiner) The riff: "On sale, Cibro barges. Own a genuine Cibro barge. Cibro barge company." The trivia: If you look closely, you can clearly see the actual name of the barge: "Cibro Savanna." In 1990, five years after Escape 2000 was filmed, the Cibro Savanna was ripped apart by two mysterious explosions, resulting in a massive fire, and between 100,000 and 200,000 gallons of home heating oil being spilled into the Staten Island Sound -- one of the worst coastal waterway oil spills on record.

Anyone ever start watching all the episodes but in reverse order? I have seen every episode of course and I want to slowly go through them all again but just cannot bring myself to begin from the earliest episodes lol.

I know many of us have expressed thanks for having MST around to help get us, in so many words, through this thing called life. I don't usually start it, but I wanted to post that I've appreciated having my favorite show (as well as TCM) to veg out to after knee surgery Thursday.

I've been good for nothing since then, nearly immobile, in pain and drugged up, and it looks like it will continue that way for a bit, so even as I'm always glad to have the occasional ep to take my mind off my "normal" life, I'm especially thankful to have it during convalescence, alternately droning in the background and being my main focus, keeping me from going completely out of my mind and bringing some smiles either way. *sigh*

Thanks, MST3K! ;)

Does anyone remember the episode where Mike pulls out a pool cue and does the silhouette gag like he's playing the billiards table in the movie?

I turned my amazing girlfriend into an MST3K fan! She has an account on here, but didn't have it on purpose. I went to log on and she was logged into facebook at the time instead of me, so she got an account on here. My account was created on purpose, though lol.

Yes. I imagine that this has been done to death.
But a Mike Flugennock post once again demonstrated the marvel of how people of similar tastes can have dissimilar opinions.

I love MST3k Shorts. The guys almost seem as if they save their most ferocious writing for them- though I suppose that's truer in the Joel years than the Sci-Fi years when they went pedal-to-the-metal from the word go almost every episode (and shorts disappeared from the playbill).
Anyway, mine are:

~Here Comes the Circus
~Circus On Ice
~Using Your Voice
~Johnny At The Fair
~Cheating- How To Make It Work For You At Home and On The Job
~The Home Economics Story
~Hired! (Both parts- No it is NOT cheating)
~Mr. B Natural
~The Phantom Creeps 1
~Junior Rodeo Daredevils

...my 100th episode! I'm 99 experiments in and I made it through (fairly) unscathed. I want my 100th episode to HURT. I mean REALLY hurt. DEEP HURT...er...ing, well... you know. Check out my profile list and comment with an episode I haven't seen, but simply MUST.

But hurry! I'm about to settle down on the couch with a beer and some of the... ahem... cough... and I need my MST3k fix! Everything in moderation... right?
