I remember in the nineties the Sci Fi channel had a fantasy week and this movie (unriffed) was one of the ones they showed so I actually got to see this before it was riffed which is the only time that's happened for me.

I know I'm in the minority but I like this movie better than Mitchel; I liked the movie better and it has some of the best riffs like "you're gonna have to grease me and push me through here".

These are the best host segments of any episode.

I could of sworn that the first time they aired this episode it was subtitled but no one's ever mentioned it; am I insane?

The main thing I don't understand about this film(other than why Toblerone isn't the main character) is why people want to stay in the Bronx. I mean that company will pay you, and even if that isn't true you've got people trying to rob you constantly, not to mention the company killing anyone who doesn't leave.

"The Beast Of Yucca Flats, Skydivers, and Red Zone Cuba, are but three examples of the many, many godawful films made during this century."
That statement, (particularly the adjective 'godawful') left me in stitches. That is EXACTLY what I would've said.
"What are you watching?"
"Oh, just another godawful film."

Sigh. It's sad, really. This film seems to be Coleman Francis's attempt at art. And how far from the mark it fell. And why did they mention a flag on the moon once and then never again? And how small was that budget that Francis nearly always avoided showing anyone speaking their lines? Could he not figure out how to mike the desert? Or is it like the guys said, a way to avoid having to deal with sound and picture continuity? And why am I even asking all these questions? Why do I care?

I generally like the host segments from the sci-fi era but the space kids ones are loathsome to me.

In this movie I feel like there is a subplot of the lush having an affair with Dutch that we don't really get to see. Relevant? No but a conversation piece anyway.

In the olfactory bit in the beginning Joel and the bots refer to that pink stuff that would cover puke at school. Do they still use that stuff or have come up with something better? I never threw up at school. Never heard about anyone doing it either. Though, many times I found the custodian cleaning up a batch in the hallway. Maybe it was the custodian's puke.

Figures Michael Bay would rip off a movie this terrible.
