"You know, you give life to two inanimate objects and they turn around and mock your entire species. You know, if I ever get trapped in space again, I think I'm just going to bring books."
Lol, oh Joel, you know you love 'em. :P Also, Servo, I think that's a brilliant idea for a show! ;)

I was in shock yesterday, I imagined a court-order shut down the site. It's becoming my go to site before going to bed. Watched YT instead, not the same.

While the movie could've been done far better, I do enjoy that for the majority of the movie we're not sure whether what's-his-face is just crazy or is actually turning into a bat. I'll give them kudos for actually attempting a plot!
But my main question on this episode is this: which of those former husbands of Pearl's was Dr. Forrester's dad??

MST Words of Wisdom

You know, this show has offered many words of wisdom that come to me in real life. For example, "You should really just relax" works nicely for me when caught up in debates -even if they aren't tv related! Another, via the Gamera ep "As you guys get older you'll realize that people don't mean to be obnoxious, it's just that they're all screwed up inside."
Anyone else got any MST3K words o' wisdom either chuckle worthy or deep?

Heheh, great episode! ^_^ Awesome host sections. Gotta love the mirror universe bit, having Dr. F and Frank in the theater was fun, the movie was bearable, and the riffs were good.

Hey I saw Ted 2 and the latest Terminator movie. I think if you loved Ted you'd like the second one. I was bummed out about the new terminator movie though. I think the Tooncinator from SNL was better. Anyone wanna share their feeling nas with the group?

Ho... ly... crap...

I was watching Fugitive Alien when it suddenly dawned on me that Captain Joe looks strangely familiar. Turns out that I've seen the Fugitive Alien series half a dozen times without realizing that Mr. "You're Stuck Here!" is actually the great Jo Shishido. That name likely doesn't mean anything to anyone not excessively familiar with Japanese film history, but this guy was a pretty big deal back in the day. He was one of the major stars of the Japanese New Wave (1950s-1960s), and is probably best know for his work with the idiosyncratic director Suzuki Kenji, enfant terrible of the Japanese studio system at the time. For those of you unfamiliar with either Shishido or Suzuki, try to find a copy of "Branded to Kill", the near-psychedelically absurd yakuza film that got Suzuki blacklisted by the film industry for years.

We talk so often about the great actors who somehow wound up sullying their resumes with these films, but now its clear to me that there's probably a whole slew of non-english-speaking actors and actresses who are slumming here as well. Maybe Marcello Mastrioanni shows up in one of the Hercules movies, haha!

"He dropped something!" It's a plot device. It's very flimsy so be careful!
