First Observer episode... and the head is prime riff fodder... this one's like like a four in my books.

Who watched this on Chicago's UHF channel 32's 'Son of Svengooli' Friday nights back in the day?

Been trying to watch this now for 2 months and can't-won't even show up here - or anywhere to play full episode. How are you folks seeing this?

Regarding the "Watch It Together", any body else think it might be easier to find if the episode number was listed? Or am I just a 'load'?

So it's been storming pretty bad all week. University says some of the winds will hit upwards of 60mph. So far the power has held at the apartment complex I'm staying though. I don't exactly totally live by myself anymore (now I have a potted plant lol). Any suggestion for the perfect episode to watch when the weather is being an a-hole?

I find it interesting that this vision of Santa Claus implies that he exploits the labor of African and "Oriental" children despite not bringing gifts to children who share their background.

The movie won an Academy Award for visual effects in '69. That makes it the only Oscar winning movie ever featured on MST3K.

Whew! How did Buzz pass the psychological testing to become an astronaut? What a babababy! Stoney should have shoved him in the opposite direction!

So, you wanna know what a 5-lb. party is?

On another forum, I found out that Patty Marvel, a member of the Yahoo MST3K group, apparently sent a letter to Iowa State asking exactly this question...here is their response.

Dear Ms. Marvel,

Our office received your inquiry about the promotional film called "The Home Economics Story." According to sources here the reference in the film is to a "five-pound party." Apparently there was an old sorority tradition to have a party and bring a 5-lb. box of candy when you announced your engagement.

Sincerely,
Sandra Gartz
Assistant to the Director

...so, now we know...

If anyone else thinks that at 12:21 Crow is doing an impression of the late, and truly great comedian Dennis Wolfberg, please let me know. I had to pause this and go to YouTube to watch a little Dennis Wolfberg...
