And so you see why we had to topple the democratically elected prime minister of Iran and install the shah! Without quality petroleum and lubricants our entire society would collapse! The chicken mcnugget would never have come into existence!

Was reading Jack and the Beanstalk to my kids. My son said if a giant beanstalk grew outside our apartment window, he wouldn't climb it because a giant has long arms and they'll catch you. And I said "Yep, and long legs, so they're fast too!" Because, I don't know, with kids you've got to add something. Then suddenly the line from War of the Colossal Beast popped into my head: "Oh, suddenly YOU'RE the expert on giants!"

I was just noticing a lot of Frozen merchandise and I had a thought. Wouldn't be hilarious if someone rented (do people even rent movies anymore, I'm behind the times) the wrong version of this movie and showed it to their kids? I know of 3 movies with that title made in the last ten years and the other two aren't so kid friendly.

I only just noticed the Fugitive Alien reference at the end there: Satan laughs at the manipulative doctor dressed as a knight and Mike says "you're stuck here!"

I get the feeling that after the move to Sci-Fi, the writers were discouraged from making references to the older episodes (perhaps most readily apparent in the replacing of Torgo with Ortega as the go-to ugly henchman character). It's nice to see slight nods like this reference that may have flown under the radar.

Kinda going off the comment below me, I find the "I reach speeds of 70, she goes 3 miles an hour, and I can't catch her" joke pretty annoying. Why do so many people confuse leopards and cheetahs? Okay, so I've had a lifelong fascination with animals, and I knew the difference between a cheetah and leopard by the time I was five, but still!

There is a bit of story telling, but, to some extent, this may be based, in part, on a true story. In the 16th and 17th centuries, in Hungary, the Countess Elizabeth Bathory was one of the most extensive serial killers of all time. She killed over 650 young women over her 54 years. Why? She killed young women and bathed in their blood to absorb their beauty. This woman must kill men to obtain her beauty. but the fact that she is taking her beauty from body fluids and is obtaining it by murdering people makes her story very close to Elizabeth's.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/01/18/more_planets_may_exist_beyond_pluto/

Astroboffins* believe that at least two hidden planets may exist in our solar system – far beyond Pluto.

If the claim from scientists at the Complutense University of Madrid and the University of Cambridge is confirmed, the "results may be truly revolutionary for astronomy," said Carlos de la Fuente Marcos, who co-authored the study.

The uncharacteristic orbital behaviour of 13 objects beyond Neptune has been pored over by scientists, who have now published their calculations...

* "boffin": British for "scientist".

I watch all these gems in order...(not "in order to get anything worthwhile accomplished" nor "by court order")...just by the list. I take what they punish/tickle me with...but I gotta say:
THE CREEPING TERROR is beyond inhumane. I believe some folks from Geneva are looking for Vic Savage (a.k.a. A.J. Nelson [no wonder he used an alias]) for crimes against humanity.

This one had to psychically scar our beloved crew as badly as it did me. I actually watch the sensations in my body as they cycle through cramping, quivering, loss of blood, pain (DEEP HURTING), numbness, etc.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Vic Savage (appropriate name), please call Dept. of Homeland Security. They should do something other than just go through gramma's 'unmentionables' at the airport. GET THIS GUY!!! There is no statute of limitations on this kind of torture.
