I want to just point out how brilliant Crow's part of the invention exchange is. His character is "Woodscrew Tapewporm" Now, take those words apart, reverse them, put them back together. What do you get? Why you get Screwtape and Wormwood! The two main demon characters of C.S. Lewis' book, "The Screwtape Letters."
I think this may be the single most intelligent joke in all of MST3K.

I've said this elsewhere, but I think people are unfair to her about the bracelet. Think about it:

You're 17. Young enough to still depend on your parents, but old enough to have a more mature understanding of love. A child just getting ready to leave the nest. Your father, in his devotion to you, makes a long trip along dark country roads for the sole purpose of buying you a birthday present. Your worries about him prove true when you personally find a trail of clues that builds inevitably to you finding his dead body. The monster that killed him attacks, and, in the panic, you lose the gift. His last gift to you. He died trying to bring it to you. People tell you it's not your fault, but in your heart you can't bring yourself to believe it. He never would have risked that trip if not for love of you. You're still trying to deal with the shock and trauma of finding his body, and your grief at his sudden loss. That bracelet is the focus of it all. His love, his death, his sacrifice, your guilt... He died to bring it to you, and you lost it. There's nothing you can do to bring him back, but that bracelet... You have to get it back.

That's all established in the film. Why do people blame her and call her selfish and dismiss the bracelet as just another piece of jewelry?

Besides, she had no idea they were going to blow up the cave. At the time she left, the idea hadn't even been proposed. (Actually, at that point, didn't they think the pesticides had done the job?) She had no idea she was endangering anyone else.

When Renee is changing clothes and in her negligee, Mike says "So round, so firm, so fully packed." Kind of a throw away line and not all that funny. But it's actually a line from a John Hartford song called "The Golden Globe Award". Listen to that song and the line instantly becomes a classic...

Ok...first...prior to being governor of Texas, and Dick Chaney's VP, George W. was obviously the Colonel in this movie...identical twins. Secondly, didn't Martin's wife get eaten out at the clothesline? So how is it that she is by his side at the end of the movie?

Why the hell did David run from her when she woke up old? He's overreacting big time unless he thought she was going to go after his pineal gland.

Anyone else sorta feel Hestia is the bad guy of the film?
She's out of the compound despite later saying it's impossible to leave. Why was she out? Her father doesn't mention sending her. Was she out to try and intercept the astronauts or make a deal with the monster (thinking she could manipulate him like he apparently does Prassus)?
She's apparently got Prassus so wrapped around her finger he marries her off first even though it should be the dark-haired chick.
She basically molests the one guy (he was so drugged he passed out and she still was all over him, he even tried to push her off at first; no consent).
As soon as she finds a bigger man on campus, she drugs Prassus, talks up how evil he is and then makes off with them.
Finally, after getting all her competition out of the way she leaves for Earth where she will likely play up her role as royalty to marry some King or something.

So is the indestructible man a fugitive or is he technically a free man? After all he was executed and so technically he "served his sentence" and can't be arrested again because of double jeopardy, at least not until he killed people since he was convicted of theft the first time. It's funny there's an actual Supreme Court case where someone was "executed" but it was botched and he didn't die and he sued to keep himself from getting executed again by saying it was double jeopardy. The court didn't agree for some reason

Dr Sherman is the same guy Scotty showed the formula for transparent aluminum to in Star Trek IV: Planet of the 80's. http://www.scifihistory.net/uploads/3/0/6/7/30676431/8846347_orig.jpg

"The river below the dam is a mile deep in some places."
Hold on, a mile deep river ? Hogwash.
The info I could find says the Colorado River has a maximum depth of 90 feet. Just a bit shy of a mile.

Dr. Hedges (Bob) was apparently in Code Name: Diamond Head! I was looking him up on IMDb. He plays Captain Macintosh, but I don't know who that is. Next time I watch that episode, I'll have to watch out for him.

Kinda going off the comment below me, I find the "I reach speeds of 70, she goes 3 miles an hour, and I can't catch her" joke pretty annoying. Why do so many people confuse leopards and cheetahs? Okay, so I've had a lifelong fascination with animals, and I knew the difference between a cheetah and leopard by the time I was five, but still!
