Slowed down the riffs in this episode. Still seems too scripted and not spontaneous as the original show. Joel and Mike and the bots were more ingenious and unexpected with their riffs on the original show.

Upon further review, I find this one soaring up the rankings on my list. I think it's a great Top 30 type episode. They were hilarious all the way through and of course the movie was perfect fodder for the gang.

I always thought the score was just a shameless Alan Silvestri ripoff, but it turns out it was *actually* written by Alan Silvestri, three years after Back to the Future. And now I'm sad.

I remember Shout! Factory announcing that they were doing the Blu-Ray release of this moving and I was all like "Really? You're seriously giving a mockbuster of all things the Blu-Ray treatment? I mean, nothing against it, but... Is the well seriously that dry?" Then this episode was announced about a month afterwards, and then everything made sense.

I was surprised they managed to keep the movie's infamous use of product placement in. Including all the McDonald's stuff. I think I know where most of the budget for this season went...

Speaking of the McDonald's stuff, they cut out the infamous dance scene that has Ronald McDonald in it. Contrary to what you might think, it wasn't because of any copyright issues. I've read in an interview that they simply couldn't come up with enough riffs for that part, and the scene itself drags on for way too long.

Personally, I'm not too bothered by this. They've cut stuff out beforehand, and it's not really that big of a deal anyway. Plus, they did keep a scene that had Ronald in it, and they do bring attention to him.

They're getting better! This one had lots of laughs for me, and as somebody pointed out, it feels as if they've stopped trying to cram in the riffs.

Miniature 4th July almost killed me.
