Hi all! My quirky travel show ADAM WALKS AROUND has made its 40th episode all about MST3K film locations, with original music, "historic re-enactments" and special guests (including some MST3K alumni). Join us to explore the sites of EAT, Club Scum, Coleman Francis airport, the truck mating scene in Riding With Death and many more! Let us know what you think, sirs!

I’m experiencing some small security issues with my latest blog, and I’d like to find something safer. Do you have any suggestions?

OK, MSTies. Is there any experiment you watched where you genuinely wanted to see how it ended, even kinda got involved in the movie? I'll start: Time Chasers, Lassie the Painted Hills, Parts: The Clonus Horror, The Giant Spider Invasion (mainly for the PACKERS riffs), The Deadly Bees! GO!

Right. No more lists!

So, what are your Top Three favorite riffs of all time, across ALL the entire MST family of riffers, all permutations, all performers, all seasons...

Ready, set.... OUCH!

Hold it, hold it! False start. My fault. Sorry, I was chuckling to myself, and got the cap pistol jammed in a bone in my hand.

OK, so: Ready... set... POP!

ok, let's have it

Enough with the lists. It's time to step up. What is your #1 favorite MST3k experiment of all time? No foolin.

Okay, this is strange and probably wrong, but...I think I'd like to see a spinoff movie focusing on the adventures of Sam the groundskeeper. For the main theme song, he could sing that little "weird things are coming" ditty.

Carrying on Reap's questions, who wins in a mud wrestling battle to death between Mike Pipper of Final Sacrifice or Sam the Keeper of Werewolf?

In my suggested videos on YouTube a while back was the full, uncut, unriffed version of 'Mitchell.’ I felt like I had to watch it, if only to finally find out Mitchell’s first name. Right away I was surprised just how much was edited out for the episode. It’s roughly 24 minutes of footage cut. In fact, the unedited movie is a bit longer than the entire MST3K episode. There’s too much to list it all here, but here are a couple significant scenes axed:

After the shooting at the beginning, the next scene is of an apparently drunk Mitchell detained in the back of a police cruiser. A call about the crime is heard over the police radio and the car takes Mitchell to the scene instead of what presumably was going to be jail. It’s a short ride, but Mitchell is remarkably sober by the time they arrive.

Later, there’s a lengthy scene centered around Mitchell and two bad guys with dune buggies. John Saxon is one of the two. They attempt to kill Mitchell by running him over, but Mitchell, on foot, outmaneuvers them. Eventually, the unnamed bad guy gets a wheel stuck and Mitchell is able to hit him over the head with a rock and commandeer his dune buggy. He then chases down Saxon, who for no apparent reason, overturns onto the roll cage in loose sand. Even though it’s a rather gentle crash, he’s instantly blown up in a giant fireball.

Also nixed was a good deal of gun violence, Mitchell shoots dead a few bad guys. Salty language and more romance scenes were also removed, although sex is more implied than shown. Thankfully. Uncut, the movie is still a mess, more footage only added more unintentional humor. I think they were trying to cash in on the appeal of ‘Dirty Harry,’ made a year before. Not quite, they didn’t get there..

And sadly, Mitchell’s first name is never revealed
