Anyone else reminded of Peter Jackson's "Bad Taste" during the scene with all the shooting outside the big white house?

I HATE those damn episodes of sci-fi shows when the characters are put on trial. It's in every damn show.

This is the only one I haven't gotten through. I tried a couple of times, but only managed to get ten or fifteen minutes into it before I got distracted and forgot. Then I finally sat down and decided to watch the whole thing, but the sheriff calling the biologist "boy" just completely turned me off.

Oh man, this movie has the greatest climax ever. The cart chase just keeps getting more and more ridiculous.

Hey, Motörhead. It's always weird when people with talent show up in a movie terrible enough to be featured on MST3K. Like the Platters in Girls Town, or Little Richard in Catalina Caper.

I love the bit with Mike at the end. Mostly because I really hate Michael Feinstein.

"Ahh...Kill him."

My two favorite goofs in this movie are when they show the title twice, and when the female scientist says that fish with teeth developed approximately 320 years ago. The fact that they didn't even bother fixing those blatant mistakes shows the director just didn't care.

They mention "The Conqueror" in the trivia segment. It starred John Wayne as Genghis Khan, which is one of the worst examples of a white guy imitating another race. It's also famous because it was filmed downwind from a nuclear testing site. By 1981, 91 people who worked on the movie developed cancer, and 46 died from it.

Crow mentions the Dixie Dregs in this episode when he's making fun of Mike's youth. That has to be one of the most obscure references on the show. Great band, though.
